Volume 5 of Serenity Ministries 4 Jesus Christ Playlist

Complete Playlist

1. Even When It Hurts - Hillsong United

Onwards to Volume 5 shall we? I really like this song called "Even When it Hurts" sung here by Hillsong. We will praise God even when we are weak and hurting because he is the great God. Music is powerful people. So much more powerful then we realize. Praise him today! Be blessed.

2. The Heart of Worship - Phillips, Craig, and Dean

This has always been one of my favorite worship songs as far back as I can remember when I first heard it. So often in church we sing our songs, and I have been guilty of it as well, and we just sing along. But how many times do we truly worship him? I pray that we will focus on God and truly worship him every day.

3. Power Of Your Name - Lincoln Brewster

This song by Lincoln Brewster seemed appropriate with all that is going on in the world.

4. Rise - Danny Gokey

My mom has been listening to Danny Gokey a lot lately. This song means a lot for me as it can be a reset type song. I have been going through a lot of changes lately, some good and some bad. One thing that has not changed though is God's purpose for me. I was made to rise. Thank you Jesus!

5. Without You - Ashes Remain

I have a close friend right now who is dealing with depression over a situation he is facing. I won't mention his name for privacy sakes but he knows who he is. I want you to know that I love you man. This song is for you. A dedication to my close friend. ❤️

6. My Life Is In Your Hands - Wendy Mitchell (Lorraine)

This cover is sung by Wendy Mitchell. Someone who used to do great teachings on scripture and the Bible. This song to me means that we do not have to worry about the circumstances we may face because our lives are in his hands. Be blessed today.

7. Let It Happen - Andrea Marie

If this last week of helping out with Vacation Bible School has taught me anything it's to just trust God. I was very nervous in the beginning but once I just let it God and let it happen as God wanted everything went smooth. As the song says: you're full of life, you're full of passion, it's how he made you, just let it happen.

8. Come As You Are - Bob & Heidi Paoletti

To me "come as you are" means no matter how unworthy you think you are or what you have done there is always room for you at the cross. Please wont you come as you are?

9. Make Me Shine - Isaiah 61 One

This is an original song by a close friend of mine, Danny Powell and his band Isaiah 61 One. It is my prayer that he will make me shine in these possible last days. I pray that he will make all of you shine in his wonderful glory.

10. Human - Christina Perri

This song has been on my heart for the last few days. At first I hesitated to add it to my playlist as it is considered a secular song and I try to stick to Christian artists and songs for the playlist. There have been a few exceptions such Creed and a song sung by Aerosmith. I honestly believe though that God can use anything for his good. Remember that we are only human and we make mistakes. Let's learn to love one another as we are all one in him. Blessings.

11. Ain't No Grave - Jamie Wilson

I do love Southern Gospel music and hope some of you do too. I find it amazing that God will lead me to gems like this. I was searching to see what song he would have me add next and saw this one to the right as a suggested for you video and it was perfect. I hope it blesses you.

12. Back To The Garden - Crowder

I stumbled across this song through Napster and really enjoy it. You can really feel the emotion and power in this song and like them I long to get back to the garden. Be blessed!

13. Washed By Blood - Brian Head Welch

One of my exes introduced me to the music of this man. He was a member of the band Korn, left the band to persue Christ and rejoined. Many have criticized him for returning but how can the light shine unless it be in the darkness. I always say who did Christ go to? The sinners and tax collectors. I really love this song and am honored to add it to the ministry playlist. Be blessed family.

14. The Lie - Broken Vessels

This group performed in my hometown yesterday but I unfortunately missed it. I heard they were a blessing though. I found this song on their YouTube Channel. I really enjoy it and will admit that I have bought into the lie that satan tells as well. Praise Jesus he is helping me to believe in the truth. Be blessed family.

15. Reckless Love - Cory Asbury

Lately God has been really revealing his love for me in different way. One of those ways is in making some new friends. You would be surprised how nice it is to just have people check up on you and ask how you are. May we all be used as blessings from God in others lives and may we too show the reckless love of God! Amen!

16. He's Alive - Don Francisco

Just discovered this song on the radio. Very powerful. God bless you this Easter morning!

17. We Are Brave - Shawn McDonald

Sometimes we have to be brave to live life as a Christian and do God's work. We will often face opposition, sometime even from others who claim they are Christians. We must continue steadfast in doing the work we know God has called us to do. So remember my brothers and sisters as you work for the Lord: We Are Brave!

Be blessed family. ❤️

18. Breathe - Jonny Diaz

Life can get extremely busy. You can get stressed out. It's good to just take time to remember to breathe and to relax in Jesus. Be blessed family.

19. Freedom Hymn - Austin French

I just really like this song and its message. We been set free. Amen!

20.  The Happy Song - Don Moen

Some may or may not like. One of my good friends says "I hate the happy song". I can get that i guess but this song brings back memories of the SFA  methodist student center for me and how everyone would have smiles on their faces. I present to you "The Happy Song" by Don Moen...and stay tuned.  I have something very special planned for the Volume 5 Bonus Song. 😊

Bonus: Peace In The Valley - Elvis Presley

I am excited about this one. As i think about the love of Christ i am reminded in Isaiah 11:6 of the verse where the Lion shall lie down with the Lamb. And a very special musical artist that many people are familiar with sang a rendition of a song about just that. I present to you all: "Peace In The Valley" sung by the king himself, Elvis Presley. Love all of you and look for Volume 6 soon.

Volume 4 of Serenity Ministries 4 Jesus Christ Playlist

Complete Playlist

1. Where You Go I Go - Jesus Culture

This seems like the perfect song to start off volume 4 of the sm4jc playlist. We are being given mercy and grace by God so we need to cling close to him. Let us praise Jesus and follow him. Thank you Jesus for the gift of today.

2. Ready To Fly - FFH

I heard this song on the radio the other day and it just touched my soul. I listened to this band years ago and didn't know they had put out anything new. This song means so much because I'm a world filled with so much evil we should be looking for Jesus return and be excited and ready to fly. Who's with me?

3. God - Rebecca St James

Volume 4 Track 3 is the song “God” by Rebecca St. James. This to me is a very powerful worship song. He made the night and the day. What is man that he’s mindful of us? I can really feel the touch of God when I listen to this song. I hope you enjoy it as well.

4. Move (Keep Walkin') - TobyMac

I really enjoy this song by TobyMac. I've been meaning to share it for the last few days but haven't been able to. Remember as bad as things seem, it ain't over yet. Our God is still on the throne and the Lords not finished with us yet.

5. Sparrows - Jason Gray

As I deal with all the stress of everything that is going on in my life right now and I see my friends dealing with stress and worry I heard this song come on the radio. It really helps me to remember to focus on God and realize that we must surrender it all to him. We can not do it on our own. Matthew 10:29-31. Be blessed today family.

6. Break Every Chain - Tasha Cobbs

I've been waiting for God to reveal to me the next song for the SM4JC playlist and this is it. A few months ago was the first time I heard this song and it was performed by a worship group that plays for our night of worship at the healing center. I love this powerful worship song. Be blessed.

7. Eye Of The Storm - Ryan Stevenson

This Thursday night I will be going with a group of close friends to see the band Newboys in concert. I am excited about it. Also playing will be Ryan Stevenson as well as another band which I plan to post a song by tomorrow.  Be blessed. 😊

8. Battles - The Afters

I mentioned yesterday that I will be going to see the Newsboys Thursday night. This is another one of the bands playing there. I really like this band and he message of this song. We need to let God fight our battles. They aren't ours to fight alone. Be blessed today.

9. Flood - Jars Of Clay

This is an older song sent to me by my new girlfriend (now ex). It is a great song about trusting God to lift us up above our problems. Be blessed today family.

10. Ephesians - ApologetiX

Ok I promised a couple of volumes ago that I would include a song by ApologetiX on one of these volumes. I had the pleasure to see this band in concert years ago and they are awesome.

11. When I'm With You - Citizen Way

In these times of stress where I am stressed everyday by pressures at work and stuff it is hard to stay focused on God and those things that are important. Like the song says "I'm not alright and I'm not ok" but when I'm with him I'm safe.

12.  Lord I Know - M.C. BLVD

Ok this one is a little different. I heard it in a rapture video on YouTube. It's kind of a love song to Jesus. Enjoy!

13. Are You Ready? - Beckah Shae

This song is  also on the video of the rapture I was watching. You could almost view this as a reply to the previous song. I seriously got chills listening to this song. I hope you enjoy it.

14. Fly - Jason Upton

This song is a little longer than most songs on my playlist but I really enjoy this. You can definitely feel a Spirit on God in this song by Jason Upton. I hope one day that we can all fly. 😊

15. What I Know - Tricia Brock

I discovered this song recently while listening to music from the movie God's Not Dead which I really enjoyed. When we feel down and beat up as I do a lot of the time we just have to trust in Jesus and trust in what we know about him and his love for us. He is very real. God is NOT dead. Amen!

16. Holy Spirit - Kari Jobe

Another gem that I first heard through Rebekah Boaz and the worship band that used to play at the healing center. Track 16 is "Holy Spirit" sung here by Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. It is a great worship song. Be blessed everyone!

17. You Are Holy (Prince Of Peace) - Newsong

Track 17 of volume 4 is an older song that I have always loved. I think the first time I sang this song that I remember was at Grace Bible Church at Crosspoint years ago. Either there or at Great Escape which they used to have at First Baptist Church. Either way enjoy You Are Holy (Prince of Peace) sung by New Song. 😊

18. Jesus - Michael Davis

This will be the next song on the SM4JC Playlist. I picked a cover because I already had a song by Chris Tomlin on the list. This cover is by Michael Davis. I love this song and it should have been put on the list a while back. My favorite part: he roars like a lion, he bled as the lamb. Jesus is the lion AND the lamb! Be blessed family! 😊

19. How Great Thou Art - Home Free

This song is a mix of How Greet Thou Art and It Is Well done in acapela style. Reminds me of when Jon Forrest used to sing over ten years ago at church. Be blessed.

20. The Cross Has The Final Word - Cody Carnes

This song pretty much sums up everything lately that I have feeling and what this ministry represents. We all come from different backgrounds and different denominations or beliefs. We may not all worship the same or study the same or believe exactly the same way but.....the Cross Has the Final Word! Amen! Be blessed today.

Bonus: Back To God - Reba McEntire

The bonus track for volume 4 of the SM4JC playlist is "Back To God" by Reba McIntyre (the original spelling of her name). It may be too late for God's judgement on America but we can give our hearts to God. Perhaps He will intervene in our troubles. Just keep praying. Be blessed family.

2. Little Girl and Psalm 23 - BluefishTV.com

One of my favorite videos of all time.

4. A Social Network Christmas - Igniter Media

7. The Apostles' Creed - The Village Church - Flower Mound

8. I AM ME. - Fearless Soul

Volume 3 of Serenity Ministries 4 Jesus Christ Playlist

Complete Playlist

1. God Is In Control - Twila Paris

I remember this song was the first track of a cd given to me and several other students to remember to pray for a group of students who were on a mission trip to Belize several years ago. I had an opportunity myself to go to Belize and really enjoyed my experiences there. Remember today as you go through your day: God is in control. Be blessed.

2. I'm Letting Go - Francesca Battistelli

I really feel like this is my song today. I keep trying and trying to do things and they keep falling apart. I have dreams for what I want to accomplish but it's time for me to let go. I just have to believe that God has my best interest in heart and that he will work things out however they are meant to be.

3.
Legacy - Nicole Nordeman

Recently a fellow classmate of mine from high school created a Facebook group for the class of 1998. As I was looking through some pictures that were posted on there I noticed there are not very many of me on there. It got me to thinking of my life today. Of how I graduating college three years ago and have nothing to show for it. How I'm still single at almost the age of 36. What have I really done with my life? I just have to keep trusting God that he has something special in store for me. My dream and my desire one day is to leave a legacy. May God allow this to happen so I may feel like I have actually made a difference with my life. God bless you all!

4. Overcomer - Mandisa

As I get ready to go see the dentist to get some teeth pulled I have been feeling very anxious. I googled songs for when you feel anxious and came up with this little gem. It is a really good song about how with God we are overcomers. I hope you enjoy.

5. His Eye Is On The Sparrow - Lauryn Hill

As we go about our ways and get busy with so much on our plates let us take just a few minutes to focus on God and to bask in Serenity. Let us remember that his eye is on the sparrow and that he watches over us. Be blessed today family.

I would like to share with you one of my favorite worship songs. May we just focus on God today and feel his power around us. I hope you all have a great and glorious day today!

7. Medicine - Rachel Belman

Recently I had two of my teeth pulled and it was not a fun experience. My mouth is still feeling a little sore and I've been taking over the counter medicine to help it feel better. I was looking for a song for today and came across this gem by a woman named Rachel Belman. I really like it. It talks about how God is our comforter and our ultimate medicine. Let us trust in him today. Be blessed family.

I believe that this song is talking about how we can search and search for things that we believe will make us more happy be it a new relationship, a new job, a new car, whatever it may be but it will never satisfy us. God is the only one who can truly satisfy us and that is done by a relationship with Jesus Christ. So remember that today as you search that what you're searching for has been there with you the whole time. Be blessed.

9. The God I Know - Love & The Outcome

I am really loving this new song I heard on the radio recently. Throw your hands up and worries down!

10. After This Day Is Gone - Bryan Duncan

Love this song by Bryan Duncan. At the end of all the chaos of everyday it is good to know that we can take rest in the arms of God and just give him all your troubles and woes from the day. I pray that you are doing just that.

11. Shoulders - for KING & COUNTRY

It seems like an angel from God is touching the people in this video. Very powerful.

This song really touches me deep and lifts my spirit high! There is power in the blood of Jesus!

13. O' Lord - Lauren Daigle

This song is the next I would like to share on the SM4JC playlist. In it Lauren sings that God takes will take what's wrong and make it right. We just have to stay strong. Be strong today my friends and trust in him.

14. Thy Will - Hillary Scott & The Scott Family

As we prepare for the hard days ahead during these trying times sometimes I feel like I am on a crusade by myself.  Yes I have a couple of friends on here who understand the severity of what is happening and I have a group on Facebook that I am part of but I juest feel like I'm facing this by myself too.  But whatever will happen and whatever the future holds I can only think of these four words.  Thy Will Be Done.  I want that above all else.  I pray God's Will will be done in you all today.  Pray for his discernment in the days ahead.

15. Wayfaring Stranger - Willow City

I recently discovered this song. I love the sound and feel of it. May all of us who call ourselves Christians remember that we are all way faring strangers. Be blessed today.

16. People Get Ready - Misty Edwards
Posted two years ago: Ok, I usually don't share two in one day but I really feel in my spirit that I need to share this today. Just listen to the words and the beat of the drums and worship our Lord!

17. 'Lawdy' - The Vespers
Post from two years ago: I am still sick even after taking NyQuil and getting eight hours of sleep. Work has been rough most of the week and still have today and tomorrow left. What I could really use right now is some peace. I know the only place I will find that peace is in Christ though. That is why I am sharing this song today. It is my prayer for us all. Amen.

18. Do Something - Matthew West

Number 18 in volume 3 is Do Something by Matthew West. This is a great song about how we should take a stand and do something. We ask God for blessings but we can be blessings to others. Be blessed today friends.

19. I Believe - ZOEGirl

Track 19 on volume 3 of the SM4JC playlist is "I Believe" by ZOEgirl. I've noticed that there are some really good messages and sounds in some of these older songs. There is nothing wrong with the newer contemporary Christian songs but I also enjoy these older tunes from artists like ZOEgirl, Rich Mullens and DC Talk. I hope you enjoy it as well.

20. Jesus Freak - DC Talk

It only seems fit to end volume 3 of SM4JC playlist with this song by DC Talk.  What will people thing when they label me a Jesus Freak? Some may call me crazy but it is only because of my love for the truth and my love for Jesus.  Have a great rest of the day and look for my bonus track in the early morning.

Bonus: If Today Was Your Last Day - Nickelback

Bonus track for volume 3 of SM4JC as promised. I try to pick for these bonus tracks songs by bands that aren't considered Christian bands but that could have a powerful message. Has some of you may or may not have heard there is an asteroid that has (had) a collision course for Earth. Supposedly NASA has sent rockets into space and neutralized the threat or at least some believe that they have. Still this can pose the question asked by nickleback: if today was your last day, what would you do? We need to live everyday as if Jesus was coming back because he will be back soon. Much sooner I believe than most think. Be blessed today family and be careful out there. I love you all.

Volume 2 of Serenity Ministries 4 Jesus Christ Playlist

Complete Playlist

1. Because Of Who You Are - Martha Munizzi

Thanks to a close friend of mine Alicia years ago I was introduced to the music of Martha Munizzi. She is a wonderful female performance and this song really speaks to me. Enjoy!

2. Basic Instructions - Burlap to Cashmere

I have always enjoyed the song "Basic Instructions". It really touches the heart and what the Bible is about.

A few years ago I traveled with a group from the ABS to a church in New Caney. We sang this song at that church and it really resonates with me. I really enjoy it.

4. I Can Only Imagine - MercyMe

This song has always held a special place in my heart but never so much as a couple of weeks ago as I got to witness three men whom I have grown close to as their teacher graduate from Christian men's job corps. Now this song is even more special. Also I got to see this band live years ago before I even realized who they were at a worship event that used to take place at first Baptist church in Nacogdoches called Great Escape. They are really awesome God led band.

5. There's A Stirring - Freed Hardeman University Acapella

This song has been such a blessing. Over the years. I first heard/sang this song through the yellow house (church of Christ student center) at SFASU in Nacogdoches. I could have shared a version sung by Mercy Me but I am trying to make the limit to one song per artist on the list. Plus there is just something about the acapella version of this song, especially when sung by a choir. It was one of if not the most uplifting song I remember singing at the yellow house. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

6. Never Would Of Made It - Marvin Sapp

Years ago a coworker of mine had this song as her ringtone. I really liked the song and it speaks the truth. I never would have made it without God. Enjoy!

7. One Time - Earthsuit

This song has a different sound to it but I really enjoy it. I first heard of this song through a friend of mine named Jeremy through the Yellow House. He gave me a CD with a few of their songs on it and I liked it. I hope you enjoy it as well.

8. Breathe - Michael W Smith

This is such a powerful worship song. He is the air that we breathe. He is out everything. Just close your eyes and focus on the words as you listen to todays song. God bless!

9. 100 - Sho Braka

I discovered this song a few months back while listening to Pandora Radio. I really like the message. We have to keep it 100 with Jesus in our walk. Does that mean we are going to be perfect? By no means, but when we do make a mistake admit it to God. Tell him you're sorry and will try your best to not make the same mistake again. Enjoy!

10. I Wanna Be Moved - Ginny Owens

My sister and I went and saw this wonderful woman of God live in concert over ten years ago. In case you didn't know Ginny Owens is a blind Christian Artist. Her music and message has touched many. If you have a chance Google Ginny's Story on A Night In Rockettown CD. I really enjoy this song and it's message. We should all want to be moved. Enjoy!

11. Oh Happy Day - Sister Act 2

I really enjoy this song, especially this version from the movie Sister Act 2. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

So many times we focus on getting the next thing, as Rich Mullens would say everybody says they need just one thing when what they really mean is they need just one thing more. But the Bible tells us that where we store up our treasures there our heart is. I'm guilty of it too trust me. Today's song shares with us that as Christians the only thing we need we already have. Remember that today as you go about your business. God bless.

13. We Are One In The Spirit - Carolyn Arends

I have heard this song many times over the last several years and it really embodies the message of the ministry. Be we Methodists, baptist, Pentecostal, church of Christ, Assembly of God, or whatever denomination we want to claim we are all Christians and called to live one another if you are a believer. We are first and foremost Christians. I was listening to a sermon by the man who used to be the full time pastor years ago at Woodland Christian church and he was talking about a seminar he had went to where Max Lucado was speaking. Max asked everyone on the count of three to yell out what denomination or church they belonged to and when they did it sounded like a loud mess, you couldn't understand anything anybody said. Then on the count of three Max said for everyone to yell out the name of whom they followed, the name of whom died for their sins. Well on the count of three there was an amazing boom of the name of Jesus. Let us not forget that. We all serve the same king. God bless you all and remember we are all one in the spirit and in the love.

14. Good Good Father - Jill Parr

For a few years now I have known about a podcast called the Daily Audio Bible. I tried years ago to listen to it but got distracted a few months in. This year I have been able to be faithful to stay caught up and am hoping to make it all the way through. This is a podcast that if you listen for a full year will take you through the entire Bible. You can find more information at www.dailyaudiobible.com. Anyways the singer of this song today is Jill Parr who is Brian Harden's wife. Brian Harden is the creator and reader of the Daily Audio Bible podcast. This is the third album that Jill has released and the first in ten years. Today is the release of her album. I have heard this song before and it is very moving. He is a good good father. Even when we struggle he cares for us. I thought it only appropriate to share this song today as today is the release of the album. Enjoy!

And if you can please check out Jill's complete album. You can find it on iTunes or Spotify or wherever you get your music from. I personally am listening to it on Deezer.

15. Redeemed - Big Daddy Weave

My friend Thomas shared this song and I really feel that it should be shared here as well. My sister got to see this band perform years ago and they really have a powerful message. This song talks about how we may face troubles and hardships but it doesn't matter as much as the fact that we are redeemed. Enjoy!

16. Better Is One Day - Kutless

This is a wonderful worship song. Better is one day in God's courts than thousands elsewhere. God will always provide for us although it may not always happen in the way we thought it would. Blessings on you.

17.
How Great Is Our God - Amber Bullock

This has always been one of my favorite Woship songs. It really helps you to focus on God and forget the troubles of this world if only for a short while. Enjoy!

18.
Blessed Be Your Name - Matt Redman

(Originally written at 4 A.M.)  Good morning. Yes I am awake by this time every morning. These are the hours I work. I used to joke when I would have to be up early early like this that I was waking up before a God but that's not true. God is always awake and watching over his children. Let us worship him today and sing "blessed be your name". Have a great day!

19. Come To Jesus - Chris Rice

When I think about Chris Rice, the first song I think about is "Cartoons". If you have a chance I suggest you google it. That was the song I was going to share as number 19 but then I listened to this song and felt lead to share it instead. It has a great message and sound to it. I hope you enjoy "Untitled Hymn: Come To Jesus" as much as I do.

20. Shine - newsboys

For the last track of volume 2 of the SM4JC playlist I leave you with "Shine" from the newsboys. May you all shine before God and before all your fellow people. Have a great day!

Bonus: Back Back Train - Aerosmith

I would like to share this song by a popular secular group Aerosmith as the bonus track of volume 2 of the SM4JC playlist. I remember singing a similar version at the yellow house years ago with Robby leading it and it was always a fun time. Enjoy!

Volume 1 of Serenity Ministries 4 Jesus Christ Playlist

Complete Playlist

Few things can affect ones moods and emotions like music. They can turn you from sad to happy and vice versa. They can help you to focus as well. To this affect for the next several days I would like to share with you my playlist of my music that I listen to be encouraged in the Lord. I will share a little also of why the song means so much to me.  Let's begin.

1. Sing Your Praise To The Lord - Rich Mullins

I start with Rich Mullins - Sing Your Praise To The Lord. I first heard this song back in 1999 when I attended Panola Jr College. It was often played over the sound system while lunch was being prepared and I feel in love with it. It wasn't until years later that I discovered that Rich Mullins had passed away. Now when I hear the song it helps bring my focus onto God and helps me to reminisce and remember my days at Panola. I hope you enjoy as much as I do.

2. Mission 3:16 - Carmen

This is another older song. I first discovered it while listening to songs on the world of worship CDs. This song means a lot to me as my job can tend to be rough where I work, especially when I first started out almost ten years ago. It was hard physical labor. This song has a sort of James Bond feel to it (remarkably enough I have never actually watched any of the James Bond movies). When I listen to this song it helps me get pumped to enter the work place and my field that God has given.

3. Praise You In This Storm - Casting Crowns

This is by far one of my favorite Christian groups of not my absolute favorite. I was blessed enough to see them in concert years ago and it was awesome. One reason that this song means so much to me is that I have definitely faced storms in my life and just have to be reminded that God is God in the good times and the bad. Going through my divorce years ago, during the times where I had no job, during the times when I was out of school and unsure if I would be able to return....God was there. Take a listen. God bless you all!

4. Fly Like A Bird - Mariah Carey

While this song is sung by a secular artist, she just happens to be my favorite singer of all time. Period. This song has meant so much over the years for me as I long to fly like a bird and soar above my sorrows and problems of everyday life. As is said in the song with is taken from Psalm 30:5: "Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning". May we be patient and endure strong until our time of deliverance. God bless and enjoy!

5.
King Of Glory - Third Day

If I had to pick any one song to be the theme of the ministry this would be that song. This to me represents what it is all about. Why do I continue day by day through the struggles? Why do I strive to help others when I can? Who do I strive to get closer to and build a relationship with? His name is Jesus! And he is the King of Glory! Be blessed family!

6. Cut - Plumb

Originally there were two songs saved as number 6 in this playlist. God laid on my heart that I should remove or cut one of the songs from the playlist. The song removed was "The Game Is Raw" by Dooney Da Priest. How poetic is is then that this song is named "Cut". Sometimes God has to cut some things out of our lives to make room for better things. The things cut may not even be bad things but he has something better in mind for us. One part of this song claims "I am not alone". How true is this! Even when we feel alone we are never truly alone if we have God in our hearts. So please enjoy.

7. Ageless Medley - Amy Grant

This is a great mix of songs that Amy sings. In the beginning of creating this list years ago this was the last song on the list. At the end of the medley is the song "sing your praise to the Lord" which you may remember as number one from Rich Mullens. God has since given me more songs for the playlist. I hope you enjoy.

8. I Feel The Joy Of The Lord - Worship Jam Kids?

The first time I heard this song was sung by the wife of pastor Brent Crosswhite of Apostolic Pentecostal church in Nacogdoches. I would much rather had the one of her singing then the one I have here but have not been able to get a copy of her singing.

This version is cool as well as it has a kids bop type sound to it. I hope you enjoy!

9. The Devil is a Liar - Wright Sisters

This is a song about the devil. It is my privilege to know these two ladies personally. We went to panola junior college together. I have recently discovered that they are still in the Christian music business. You can Google Wrightous productions I believe to see more. Anyways this song is about how the devil is sneaky and constantly after us and we have to be on our guard. Enjoy!

10. The Devil Is Bad - The W's

Years ago I took a couple lessons on swing dancing. I really enjoyed it and should take more. During that time I discovered this little gem. Enjoy!

11. Everything - Lifehouse

Years ago I watched a skit with this song in it. This is one of the more meaningful songs in my playlist. It is about making God our everything and not trying to fill the void with other stuff. If you wish to see the skit just search Lifehouse everything original skit on YouTube. Thanks and God bless.

One of my favorite Christian bands is a band called ApologetiX. They are a Christian parody band. Think Weird Al Yancovich with a Christian message. The song I am sharing with you today is not by ApoligetiX but the message it sends is that it is ok to listen to this music. I believe any music can be good to listen to, just the lyrics aren't always good. I know this can be a topic of controversy and I am not trying to stir that up. I just know myself I love music in general of all sorts and love that we can use Christian Rock etc to focus on God and receive and spread his word.

13.
Here We Come Yall - Dooney

It was my pleasure to get to listen to this group perform live at SFA years ago. This is a Christian gospel rock rap group out of Dallas Tx. The reason I like this song so much is that it feels like an army let's get ready to go into action type of song. Listen to it and tell me it doesn't get you pumped. (Well maybe if you're not a fan of rap music, but even then it's good). Enjoy!

14. Whatcha Lookin 4 Remix - Kirk Franklin

This song has meant so much to me in times where I have felt lonely. There are times when I have felt that nobody really cares. I mean I have my family and my friends but not that special love in my life. I have searched and searched and this song speaks to me. God is speaking to me: what are you looking for? God is the love I need. We can't rely on anyone else to make us happy and love us like God can.

15. Who Is This - The Insyderz

Years ago my sister and I sang this song in our church as a duet. Since then this song has had a special place in my heart.

16. Beautiful Things - Grungor

Three years ago at this time, I was doing my internship at the mosaic center (Christian women's job corps) in Lufkin. At a banquet fundraiser that they had before graduation I was asked to help to set up and help run the projector for the video played. The video was a variation of this video by Gungor. I decided to share this original video becsue I have watched it several times and it really speaks to me. A friend of mine at Woodland Christian church before he moved away once told me: God doesn't make any junk. This has been such a hard message for me to receiver because of my low self esteem but it is so true. God made me beautiful. God made you beautiful. Let us never forget that.

17.
To My Suprise - Eowyn

This is one of the newest songs I have felt lead to add to the playlist. Funny because for the longest time it was accidentally mixed in with my mashups. I really like the sound of this song as well as the message. You can hear the desperation in the artist voice. I sometimes feel just as desperate.

18.
Gotta Serve Somebody - Bob Dylan

This song is an older one but it definitely has some truth to it.  It is another more recent one I have felt lead to add to the list.  No matter who you are, you're gonna have to serve somebody.

19. My Own Prison - Creed

I want to share another song which was recently added to the playlist. This song is from the view point of a non believer after he has died and gone to Hell. It is a reminder that we need to trust in God and keep him first.  Enjoy!

20.
We're An Army - Red Ink Army

Years ago there was a group called Men of God which had a Bible Study out of the Yellow House (Church of Christ student center). From this group I discovered a musical group called the Channel (also known as the Red Ink Army). Also featured in this song is a man named Drew Wilson. Drew has been a close friend of mine for years. He used to attend the Association of baptist students with me and was also a DJ at KSWP Christian radio for years. I believe this is a good song to end volume on as it is a call to battle.

Bonus Track: Running Up That Hill - Placebo

This song means so much to me because I have wronged people in the past, especially my immediate past. To these people I am sorry and I wish I could take back the pain I caused. As the song says "if I only could make a deal with God, I would get him to swap our places." I would gladly take the pain upon myself so that you wouldn't have to suffer it anymore. God bless you all.
